On Saturday November 2nd, we celebrated the badging of four new firefighters, Matt Samson, Mike Oliver, Brian Smith, and Brandon Selvitella. The ceremony was held in conjunction with Marinwood's Annual Firefighter Appreciation Dinner at the John F. McInnis Park Restaurant.
These four individuals are new to Marinwood Fire Department but they are quickly proving to be exceptional firefighters. The Department and the Community are lucky to have them.
Awards were also given out for Volunteer Firefighter of the Year and Firefighter of the Year. Pete Wood was named Volunteer Firefighter of the Year. Pete is a Volunteer Captain with our Department and he also works as a full time firefighter for City of Santa Rosa Fire Department. Joel White was named Firefighter of the Year for the Marinwood Fire Department. Joel is a Captain for the Department and also serves as the Fire Prevention Officer.
