For the ninth year in a row, Marinwood Firefighters competed in the Christmas Relays held at Lake Merced on December 15.
The Christmas Relays are an annual relay race held the week before Christmas by the West Valley Track Club. Each team has four runners who each run a 4.5 mile distance around Lake Merced. Marinwood Firefighters compete in the Public Safety Division.
This year the Department had enough interest to enter two teams of four. Both teams completed the course in two hours after battling strong winds and rain.
