Robert Antonio Paoli, dedicated, loving Father and Husband passed away suddenly while On-Duty at American Medical Response-Marin on Tuesday, November 7th, 2006. Robert was 31 years old.
Robert has spent the last 12 years dedicated to EMS and the Fire Service, working as EMT / Field Training Officer and as the Union Shop Steward for American Medical Response ? Marin. In 2005 Robert responded along with other AMR staff to assist with the Hurricane Katrina Relief in Louisiana.
Robert began his Fire Service career as an Explorer with the San Rafael Fire Department and became a member of the Marinwood Fire Department in 1995. During his time at Marinwood, Robert served as a part-time paid Cadet Firefighter, and most recently as a Volunteer Captain, serving as both a role model and leader to those in the Volunteer Ranks.
Robert is survived by his wife Sarah Paoli, daughter Kellie Paoli, mother Florence Paoli, sister Maria Paoli and niece AnaMaria.
An EMS / Fire Service Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, November 18th, 2006 (C Shift on duty) at St. Vincent?s Church, 1 St. Vincent?s Drive, San Rafael, CA 94903 beginning at 1100 hrs.
EMS / Fire Service agencies are asked to RSVP to the Marinwood Fire Department at (415) 479-0122 as soon as possible. Those agencies able to provide apparatus and personnel are requested to stage at the Marinwood Fire Station, 777 Miller Creek Road, San Rafael, CA 94903 at 0930 hrs.
A reception will follow the services. More details on the reception forthcoming.
A Trust fund has been set up for the family at Washington Mutual Bank in Novato. Checks to be written to: "Washington Mutual to the benefit of Kellie Paoli? and sent to 1595 Grant Avenue, Novato, CA 94945 Attn: Robin Gold.
