Sausalito is located on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge and is the southernmost city in the county of Marin. The city has experienced a history of changes as it has grown throughout the years. The combination of Highway 101 and the Golden Gate Bridge traffic constantly tests the skills of firefighters and paramedics. Head on collisions on the Golden Gate Bridge and vehicle roll-overs on the Waldo Grade are all too common.
